Message to Our Students
Dear All,
Time flies when you are busy dancing! We just arrived back from our Mexico Salsa Cruise with Fun & Fitness. We had 119 fitness and dance lovers with us. Our group was catered to and given classes on Latin Dance, Zumba, Water Aerobics, Thai Chi, Deck Walking and Ballroom Dances. Only our group was able to attend our special lessons. We had a ball. Thank you to all who came. Our next cruise will be listed in our May 2011 Newsletter.
This Month I was honored in Baltimore with a Leadership In Salsa Award; thank you to all who helped DWG receive this honor.
The New Jersey International Salsa Congress is right around the corner. I will be the MC and Director of the NJ Dancin Dreams for Autistic Children. We will have major discounts on tickets to the congress if you buy them through me. Since you have the expense of your flight we have a special price for you! During our Fundraising Event called "Mission of Love" we raised $2500. Thank you to Roberto and Belle for performing with me & to the committee who worked hard to get the word out!
In March we will celebrate my (Grace's) birthday on March 9th at AJA Wiregrass; be there or be square! Classes begin at 7:30. I will be turning 100 years old... just kidding! You have to show up to find out my age!
Check out the schedule for all of our happenings including workshops, socials and Girl Scout dance training in March and April!.
FYI: I always try to keep my word in adding and updating new instructor information on my site for the Tampa region. Recently my technical director was sent to the middle east so I will try to update this in the May-June Newsletter. Thank you for your patience.
God Bless You All! & make sure to keep dancing with modesty and integrity and for a reason!

Grace’s Salsa Tips
Tip #1:
Men: No matter the level of your partner, trying to make her look like the best dancer on the floor by leading her at her level and not yours will make you look like the most considerate man on the floor. Just because you are talented and advanced doesnt mean you always have to show it. I have seen very good dancers look completely inconsiderate when they try to throw all of their moves on whoever they dance with no matter what level they are. Guys, you dont always have to "steal the show" or look like a master performer when you dance. Just chill and allow her the opportunity to do the basics if that is her level. Being a considerate lead can be the most gracious thing you do on the dance floor (aside from wearing deodorant! ha ha).
Tip #2: Ladies: STOP WEARING STILETTOS high heeled shoes to the club! Most women cant walk in 4 inch heels but some come to the club in 4 inch or 5 inch heels wanting to dance with precision and it is impossible to do so unless they are professionlly made for dance. Burju puts out a stiletto line for dance shoes but typically only performers are comfortable going that high. Please be careful. All shoes are not equal and dance shoes are made for what we do. Please buy some! |

AJA Wiregrass Rocks in Wesley Chapel
For those of you who don't know the new AJA Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel at the Shops at Wiregrass Mall has become thee spot to be for social dancers that don't like cliques or the dance scene wroght with show offs. This isn't a blah blah blah claim made by the house dance instructor but a gleeful admission of honest truth! People of all ages and cultures go to AJA. It is a scene where you will find 60 year olds dancing with 30 year olds, families coming together to celebrate a special occasion and a place for beginners and intermediate social dancers to get their "dance legs" working for the first time. For you lover's of food, they have a truly NY style Pizza that really does taste like the dough and cheese of NY Pizza and I lived in Brooklyn, NY so I certainly love it! We are proud of the location's food, gorgeous hardwood floor and kind patrons. No matter where you are from its actually worth the drive. This location is clean and has plenty of free parking. We thank Aja for their incrediblly kind staff and hard work! We teach every Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm; 28211 Paseo Drive, Wesley Chapel Florida. Check out our schedule below.

6. Is Dancing A Sin?
Have you ever wondered if dance is a sin? Many of us have been taught about God (the creator of Heaven & Earth). What does He say about Dance? To read Grace's article, "Is Dancing A Sin" click here:
Grace would love to know your opinion. Email her at grace@dancingwithgrace.com
Check out the last email I received about this article:
Hello,
My name is LeAngela. I have dancing for many years, although I
have never had any formal training. I grew up in the church my entire life
and I am now a Christian. I had been taught and told by many that dancing
was a sin. I always argued that because if you watch babies when they hear
music the move their little bodies to the rhythm of songs. I always knew
that there was just something natural about movement of the body but could
never quiet explain it. Your article explained exactly my thoughts but you
also gave me so much insight and scripture to back it up! Thank You! In 5
weeks I am having a 25th birthday party and I was hesitant to dance...your
article has helped release that burden and I feel free just by reading it.
My good friend always tells me that I have a dancers heart...because of your
article I can now embrace it. Thank you!
God Bless
LeAngela, USAFR
Hi Grace-
I loved your article on dancing. I grew up being told it was a sin…so I was prohibited from dancing. So guess what I wanted to do most of my life? Yep!
BTW…Is there a sinful form of dancing?…of course. And there is a sinful form of eating, driving cars, watching TV, recreating etc.
I loved your take on the issue. Thanks for sharing what you’ve learned and experienced.
As a Baptist Minister, and Christian radio Talk show host I now enjoy dancing with my wife…and I DON’T CARE anymore what the legalists say.
Neil
PS I’m not much of a dancer…but it’s fun, and I hate the fact that the enemy tried to steal it from God’s people. Well, I am committed to taking it back!

8. Testimonials of Dancing With Grace As A Company & Instruction:
Hi Grace,
I can't think of a more deserving person and I think it's about time you are recognized for all you do and the community projects you work with. I really admire you Grace. You are an inspiration to me.
MS
Grace, you are a powerful woman, but not because of money or fame, but because you care about others and use dance in a great way. NP
From An Instructor: You and I do the same thing for a living, but you never stop giving me good advice about my business, even though, it may lose you money. I admire your character and am glad you moved to Tampa.
I have never won anything in my entire life. In your spinnig and balance class I was the best person with balance (shocking but true). When you gave me the little trophy at the end of class I thougnt I was going to cry like a big kid. I held it in til iIgot in the car. Thank you for being thoughtful enough to give these out. It made my year. TB
