Student of the Month: Vicki Gooch
Vicki Gooch
Vicki is a truly dedicated dancer. She works in Maryland but lives in Georgia and when in Baltimore she consistently comes to The Promenade to take Intermediate/Advanced Salsa Lessons with us. She has grown as a dancer and is a great example of what true dedication is all about! We are very proud of you Vicki! Your next lesson at The Promenade is on us! Sincerely, Grace and Hugo
Gibson Island School Salsa Art
Grace Taught Salsa, Merengue, Cha-Cha and Bachata at The Gibson Island School in January. It was an incredible school filled with incredibly talented students. They were kind enough to make me some thank you cards that were too precious not to put into my photo gallery. To see all the Gibson Island Salsa Art please click here.

Be Not Afraid!
The next time you take a lesson we want you to take a deep breath and allow yourself the opportunity to enjoy your lesson without fear. People have fears all the time and they vocalize them. Have you ever said this?
- I have two left feet.
- I have no rhythm.
- Maybe I will be good in a few years.
- I just can't get it.
- I am frustrated.
- I can dance but not like her/him.
All of these comments are a little negative. When we let this negativity creep in, it makes room for fear to grow. Fear of not being good, Fear of being off beat, Fear of hurting my partner, Fear of falling. Each of you are incredible people; made unique. There is no one like you and thus you look different from anyone else dancing. This is a good thing. Let's not be cookie cutter images of anyone... and give yourself permission to dance without negativity or fear!
Sincerely, Grace and Hugo

Cha-cha George.
=========================================
Hugo and Grace,
Congratulation on a great job you did on January 3. I can imagine how much work and preparation the whole event needed. The salsa night at The Ark turned out a great success. My friends and I had a great time.
Good luck with your new venture and hope everything will work out well. You guys are very strong and dedicated. Best wishes in the New Year.
Thank you, Elmira
=========================================
Hi Hugo & Grace,
Being at The Ark is like something out of a movie. Everything is so big and beautiful. I have been to clubs all over the east coast and when I moved to Silver Spring I was disappointed at the lack of venues on a saturday night but your place is incredible. Count me in!
Rp.
=========================================
Hi Hugo & Grace,
We thank you for helping so many people through dance. You are a shining example of great people and great instructors.

"You and Hugo outdid yourself. What a fabulous night. I'm glad i could help out. See you next week. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!"
Jean
-========================================
Hey Grace,
Thanks again for a great lesson. For me that means that it was clear and easy to follow. Maybe that means there are fewer elements in the lesson or maybe I'm absorbing more. Either way I really enjoyed it. See you next time.
Michael

Ranazul Restaurant
This is, without a doubt, one of the loveliest restaurants I have been to in years. In a word this location is impeccable: Impeccable Service, Impeccable Drinks, Impeccable Wine selections and Impeccable Food that is out of this world. The food is five stars for the price of a three star restaurant! The serving sizes are just right and eating here will take you on a delightful journey to taste buds you never knew existed. The ambiance is ultra sheik with sumptuously soft leather chairs, sensitive lighting, and a great sound system for all to enjoy. This location also boasts an incredible mini-gallery of art for the truly creative collector. After leaving this location guests are enchanted. It’s a rarity to find a restaurant that feels like home but with a royal appeal that leaves you wanting for one more dessert and one more bottle of wine "por favor"! I highly recommend that you take the time to reserve a table at this wonderful restaurant and become one of Ranazul ’ s guests at last; you will certainly go home completely satisfied and feeling like royalty! Tell them that Grace sent you. Located at: 8171 Maple Lawn Blvd. Suite 170 Maple Lawn, MD 20759; Phone: 301-498-9666

They do, however, dance to salsa music and it is the most entertaining dance to watch. Although we do not teach it, there are very capable teachers in Baltimore, DC and VA! Read below!
