Kasbah & DWG Partner Up!
As of June 14th our Kasbah location will be officially teaching Salsa & Bachata Lessons every week. This location will play Bachata, Merengue, Salsa & Latin/Brazilian House music and will have a different flavor! If you want salsa/cha-cha go to The Belvedere or The Promenade. If you want a mix of music or a more casual atmosphere with open dancing in couple or singles go to The Kasbah! After the Bachata Meet-up Group Came to Kasbah I felt a great need to provide Bachata Dancers a Venue To Dance & Learn In Baltimore. You now have more options than before! Be on the look out for our September Floor Fundraiser to raise $ to replace the Kasbah Floor with a better surface! DWG & Kasbah will work together to make your dance experience more comfortable in the future! Go Bachata! Go Salsa! Go Kasbah! Whoo hoo!
Grand Opening Saturday Nights at The Belvedere Hotel on the 1st Floor
The official Salsa Saturdays will start at The Belvedere Hotel on June 14th in The John Eager Howard Room located in the 1st Floor. This ballroom is located to the left side after you come in the main hotel entrance.
DWG Student, Miesha Blackwell, Dances Her Way Into The News!
Dance Baltimore is making Headlines! Recently Miesha Blackwell took a 5 week Dance Baltimore Workshop run by Tiffany Butler teaching students how to elongate their bodies and enjoy life through dance. You can see her in the picture above in the green shirt. Congratulations to Miesha Blackwell, who is an inspiration to many! She is also on our DWG Student Dance Team and performed recently at Arundel Lodge with Urfa, Richard a.k.a. Ricardo, & Matt! Thank you for being an inspiration! To see the entire article click here. To see more photos of the Dance Baltimore Workshop click here.
Student of the Month
James Earwood is a DWG student who was recently at The Promenade listening to some music prior to class with Grace. Grace was immediately impressed when James not only knew who was singing the salsa song she played, but he even knew some of the words. This was very impressive to her because he doesn't even know how to speak Spanish, but it showed that not only had he purchased the music but listened to it so much that he knew the breaks and words. This is why salsa dancers look so good when they dance; they know the music and can interpret it well! Congratulations to James Earwood for officially becoming a "Salsero" and being the Student of The Month!

Dress Code:
Casual, comfortable sweats or yoga pants, (preferably) salsa practice
shoes (for turns and spins on a wooden dance floor). If you don't have
salsa shoes, you can wear your evening dance shoes. Tennis shoes will
inhibit your spins and may ruin your knees over time. You can go to the
DWG Store
to see if you find something you like or go online and check out shoes
like Supadance or International. They can get pricey but make a world of
difference when you dance. Check out Grace's Shoe Clues Chapter in her Salsa With

Ranazul Restaurant This is, without a doubt, one of the loveliest restaurants I have been to in years. In a word this location is impeccable: Impeccable Service, Impeccable Drinks, Impeccable Wine selections and Impeccable Food that is out of this world. The food is five stars for the price of a three star restaurant! The serving sizes are just right and eating here will take you on a delightful journey to taste buds you never knew existed. The ambiance is ultra sheik with sumptuously soft leather chairs, sensitive lighting, and a great sound system for all to enjoy. This location also boasts an incredible mini-gallery of art for the truly creative collector. After leaving this location guests are enchanted. It’s a rarity to find a restaurant that feels like home but with a royal appeal that leaves you wanting for one more dessert and one more bottle of vino porfavor! I highly recommend that you take the time to reserve a table at this wonderful restaurant and become one of Ranazul ’ s guests at last; you will certainly go home completely satisfied and feeling like royalty!
