Thursday Whispers Classes Update
The classes are small 5-12 people each, where you can gain a lot of personal attention. These classes will continue throughout this month with the DWG Team. Grace and Hugo are scheduled to teach on October 11, 2007! Please come celebrate Sue’s birthday with us on this date if you couldn’t make it to the house party. Want to be invited? Send an email to sue@dancingwithgrace.com.
Congratulations To Our DWG Student of The Month!
Congratulations to William Tilly (a.k.a. Will). Will is a special person and someone that leads by example every single day. Recently when DWG began teaching underprivileged children at the Chinquapin Middle School, Will came and volunteered to help the children learn how to dance. Working late hours and hardly getting any sleep will dragged himself out of bed to make it to the 3:00 practices every Wednesday after school. The children loved him and he was a great role model for all of the boys. Will is a kind and gentle heart and a fantastic helper and friend! We thank Will for being an inspiration to the children, and as a Baltimore County Police Officer, a protector of the people. We love you Will!
Gardel's Friday Classes
DWG will be taking a break from teaching Salsa Classes at Gardels on Fridays; we need some rest! We will still be teaching every single Saturday so come one and come all!
2. Men's Salsa Technique & Styling Workshop on October 6th
Hugo's Men Salsa Technique & Styling Workshop
It's that time gentlemen; time to brush up on your lead and body movement technique. Come join Hugo and participate in Men's Salsa Technique & Styling Workshop. Hugo's workshops are filled with a wealth of excellent technique and styling information. Not only he demonstrates each dance movement, but Hugo has the ability of breaking these movements down in an easy to follow step-by-step manner (a skill which only a few salsa instructors in the world seem to be capable of doing). Every dance movement is broken down according to the "On 1" timing. Styling moves are added once students have mastered the basic principles behind the step. Occasionally, some dance steps have more than one variation to them. When this is the case, Hugo or one of the other DWG instructors will execute these variations and let their students decide for themselves which version fits their style. Gentlemen, no worry's there will be enough ladies for you to dance with.
IMPORTANT Note to Ladies: Ladies, if you are interested in attending this workshop you can do so for a minimum dance floor fee of $5 per hour. Even though this workshop is focused on men, ladies can take advantage of a lot of information and technique that is required for women including musicality, following, balance, and spinning in addition to the amount of practice you will get out of this class. Ladies will need to have experience dancing to medium-to-fast music and know the cross body lead with turn. To signup please email Hugo at hugo@dancingwithgrace.com.

This wonderful new facility is called the “Jewish Building” and it is actually located just outside the main campus (i.e., Off-Campus Area).
For directions click here and a for a campus map click here. In the map, the Smokler Center for Jewish Studies is building # 81 in Row 5 between C and D columns. The easiest way to get to this location is coming from Howard St. towards the south gate entrance and continuing to the right on Art Museum Drive. The building is on N. Charles Street. Since this is our first time teaching at this location, we are assuming that you should be able to park on the street around the area but there is a visitor parking lot located in N. Charles St. and E. 29th St. We recommend printing the campus map, just in case.
