your body? Try Sheena's Hula Dance class with an

eventually apply it to salsa. Come learn from Sheena
Luaehu, one of the only authentic Hula instructors in the
state of Maryland.

3. Tuesday Nights at the
Promenade; New Salsa Swap Class Update
Grace and Hugo are back and have an interesting class
scheduled for August. People ask us all the time how
we can go from dancing as the lead and then immediately
switch to teaching the follow or vice versa. This is
a skill that we feel can be essential in helping you
understand your partner so Grace & Hugo will be teaching a
class on How to Lead and Follow Salsa Swap Style! If you
are a man, you will learn your partners steps and see how
much force is actually necessary to make you turn and do
difficult movements. Ladies will see how difficult
it is to lead and learn combinations. This type of
class really helps in your dancing abilities and
communication skills during dance. If our first few
classes go well, we will continue the entire month of
Intermediate Classes teaching this Salsa Swap Method!
Basic Classes schedules will remain the same for the month
of August. Classes are $10 each or $15 for both
classes.

6. Stardust Dance Weekend in Ellenville, New
York: 09/16/05-09/18/05!
Cant make it to any of the Salsa Cruises? Stardust
Dance Weekend is a lovely time away from the normal dance
craze of any city. Hugo and I went last year to a
Stardust event not knowing what to expect. What we
found were many serious dancers coming to learn, gigantic
ballrooms that reminded me of when courtship actually
involved a night of dancing. The interesting part of
it besides all of the workshops and food were all of the
different ages present. The average age was over 40.
Maybe 20% of the people were from 25-45 and the level of
dancers were pretty great. Some of the teachers were
in their 60's but could literally out-dance any salsero in
DC! We couldn't believe it! They danced on 1
and 2 and even taught on both. If you want to try
something truly unique try this: Average

7. Dancing With Grace Productions Has A Job Opportunity For You!
Hugo and Grace are on the lookout for a male salsa dancer
who is willing to train to become an instructor. This
candidate must be an Intermediate III dancer or better.
Now that we are going National Dancing With Grace
Productions will have many more opportunities for big
events, workshops and money making opportunities for their
instructors. Its not as easy as it sounds and you
must be willing to train for 500 hours; yes you heard me
right 500 hours on the DWG Method over a period of 1-2
years. Training also includes "on the job" training
teaching with us by your side and eventually you will get
your own location/club. This person must have great
communication skills and be able to deal with all kinds of
people. A sense of humor is a must. Grace and Hugo
will also consider hiring couples who are married or
engaged as we think being taught by a couple is better
than just 1 instructor. Auditions will be held in
October of 2005 at the Promenade Dance Sport Facility.
To be placed on the list please email Grace Badillo at:
grace@dancingwithgrace.com if you are interested in
being on the DWG Team!!!
