We have the pleasure of
offering a dance workshop by
famous Cultural Explosion Instructors/Performers. They are coming all the way from
New Jersey. Workshop Classes will be as follows:
2:00-3:00 p.m.- Spinning Technique
for Men & Women: A bit wobbly on your spins? Take this class and double your turning
ability, from doubles to triples, quadruples, multiple turns, etc.
3:00-4:00 p.m. - Funky/Cool Partner
Work:
Learn how to get in and out of
cool spinning combinations and how to perfect the lead and follow.
Turn patterns will include
hand flicks, locks, and tunnels.
4:00-5:00
p.m. - Intermission/Lunch/Practice: Eat from the lovely buffet
($10-$12)
5:00-6:00 p.m.- Salsa Three-some
Dancing: Hey guys, learn to dance with 2 women at
the same time and how to share your partner with a friend! Ladies learn how to
follow this unique salsa dance. This workshop will double the ladies
following technique as she has to be twice as sensitive to her lead since
she's only getting half a lead when she's sharing the guy with another girl.
Lady has to be very alert and sensitive to the lead when she's being passed
off from one guy to another.
6:00-7:00 p.m. - Salsa Dips, Hits,
Tricks & Freezes: Learn how to use the music and
when and how to dip your partner, when and how to freeze and how to hit the
highs and lows in the music: musicality in salsa - some people just dance to
the music, learn how to dance in the music!!

2. Tuesday Night
Promenade Schedule
Salsa lessons are
offered every Tuesday beginning at
7PM at the Promenade Dance Sport Facility on 2605 Lord Baltimore

One class is $10.00: Take both lessons and 2nd
class is only $5.00 more.
Beginner Level I from 7-8 p.m.: Beginners Class I:
Focusing on 3 main basic steps, the right/left turn patterns, balance,
coordination and introduction to the lead and follow. We try to work
on different patterns & also all beginners should take this at least 4 times
to work on the lead & follow.
Beginner Level II-III from 8-9 p.m.: Beginner Combinations
that are more difficult practice closings and cross body leads if the class
is up to it.
Intermediate Level I from 7-8
p.m.:
Cross body lead w/turns, greater emphasis on how to lead and how to follow and basic technique for intermediate
I students. Many Intermediate II-III
students find this class very helpful.
Intermediate Levels III/Advanced from 8-9
p.m.:
Each week this month we will be teaching a different combination & more
difficult technique as well. You do not need a partner. Come one
come all!

To Teach Basic Salsa at Arcos in Baltimore City on
Broadway Every Wednesday Night in May!
Never been to Arcos?
Arcos is a little gem of a restaurant/bar on Broadway St. a few
blocks down from Fells Point (plenty of parking). This
location is worth a try as it is one of the most beautiful
bars Hugo and I have ever seen. The owner either
carved everything by hand himself or had it done; the
woodwork is incredible. Tables & Chairs are so
beautiful its hard to sit on them! At 9:00 every
Wednesday Sheena is going to have a basic Salsa Class.
For those of you who want a much smaller class but still
some nice classy atmosphere you can try this location out.
Its definitely not a club & has a private patio area (very
romantic) where you can eat outside with arches in the view.
If you didn't enter this place you would never know it was
there. The appetizers are fabulous; try the nachos and
tacos too! For a classy hour of fun stop by at Arcos.
This location is not meant to compete with the "clubs" but
only to cater to the "finer" more "select" members of the
salsa community.

4. Thursday
Night Basic Bachata & Salsa Dance Lessons at La Palapa
starting May 12, 2005.
NO CLASSES

Guys, some of your prayers have been answered. La Palapa renewed our contract for 6 months. Either Elsybel,
Antonio, Grace, Hugo and/or Sheena will be doing Basic I-II
classes from 8-10
p.m. We will be teaching only up to the Basic
Cross Body Lead with combinations at this location. So if you want to brush up on basics and
can’t make it on Tuesday or Saturdays this is the perfect
place to be. La Palapa will be charging $8.00 per class.

Gardel’s Supper
Club is located on 29 S. Front Street, right across from the Port
Discovery Balloon on the other side of President Street. Its 18,000 Square feet big and has 3
floors so if you haven’t been come join us.

- Salsa Beginners Level I: 8-8:50 p.m.
- Salsa Intermediate Level I:
8-8:50 p.m.
- Salsa Beginners Level II: 9-9:50 p.m.
- Salsa Intermediate/Advanced: 9-9:50 p.m.
Warning: If you come for the 9:00 at 9:00 or 1 minute afterward, the owner will charge you an entry fee of $10.00
at the door and you will still have to pay us for the class. Please come early
so you can get in free and only have to pay for the class.
Parking: The earlier you get there the easier the parking, but they
do provide Valet Parking for $10.00. They are an Argentine Supper
Club with huge dance floors and classy atmosphere. Age ranges from 21
to 70! No Jeans, No Sneakers!

7. Private Lesson Packages
DWG offers private lesson packages
of (3) one hour classes at the Promenade for $180.00
during the day or evenings.
Times get booked up quickly. Each individual
class is $75.00 each for 1 person or a couple if you do not book the
package. Private Classes are the equivalent to 5 group
classes depending on your level. We do group classes
for your parties as well. Private Basic I-II classes
are available by Elsybel & Antonio as well!
